The Sport Industry Awards
The Sport Industry Awards, ‘the Oscars of the sports world’ according to both The Observer and The Times, recognise and reward the best the sport business has to offer in marketing, PR, sponsorship, new media, publishing, advertising and design. It is Europe’s largest and most prestigious commercial sport awards. To the 1,200 attendees it is also the most important networking occasion in the sport business calendar.
The FT Sport Industry Summit
The FT Sport Industry Summit brings together the most powerful and influential names in the UK sport industry, including leading figures from Government, UK governing bodies, brands, broadcasters, sponsors, rights holders and agencies. These decision makers and agenda setters address the fundamental challenges facing the fast changing UK sport industry. Over the course of the day delegates are given a unique insight into the thinking of these leaders and business people, with the format allowing for audience participation, debate and an open forum.
The Sport Industry Lecture
Each year key business leaders select their outstanding individual from the world of sport who has shown remarkable business acumen or inspirational leadership. The Sport Industry Lecture 2006 was presented by Lord Sebastian Coe. The night offers the UK sport industry a unique insight from the most influential figure of the year.
The Sport Industry Interview
The Mayor of London, Ken Livingstone, was the first person to be interviewed for the Sport Industry Interview. The exclusive event allowed the Mayor to address the impact that the Olympics will have on London and UK sport industry over the next 7 years. The event, facilitated by BBC’s John Inverdale, attracted over 250 guests to Bloomberg television studios. In 2007, FIFA President Sepp Blatter will be interviewed.
