Niki Turner is one of the UK’s most successful young marketeers, who in fifteen years has risen from starting her own business from scratch to runningthe commercial operation at one of the world’s most successful entertainment organisations. Turner’s portfolio today includes a rangeof blue chip consumer brands and iconic entertainment properties, mostnotably David Beckham and American Idol, which is the most valuable TV format in the world.
Turner started her professional life in theUK as a talent PR representing a variety of international artists including Paul McCartney and Tina Turner. She left the UK to set up her own business in Australia aged 25 running Commercial Affairs and Communication for a number of clients including leading 90s rock band INXS and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Really Useful Company.
After seven years in Australia she returnedto the UK to start work for Octagon Marketing, the leading sports marketing company, where she became head of entertainment and special events, with specific responsibility for the prestigious and award winning Vodafone global account.
In 2003 Niki Turner joined Simon Fuller’s 19 Entertainment to work on the commercial interests of the Beckham Brand. In 2006 she was promoted to Head of Commercial and today oversees the sponsorship and merchandise areas of 19’s impressive portfolio.
