Michelle Smith, Head of Community Sports Sponsorship, Barclays 

Michelle Smith heads community sports sponsorship at Barclays and has led the development and cross-partnership delivery of the Barclays Spaces for Sports programme since its launch in 2004. The programme has benefited over 530,000 people and delivered 200 sustainable community sports sites across the UK to date.

Before this she was Head of Community and Corporate Affairs for Barclaycard, leading community strategy development and implementation using her programme management skills to make a real difference to communities. 

Michelle is married with one child and enjoys spending time with her family, keeping fit and learning more about addressing social issues particularly through the power of sport.
