For the first time in Paralympics history, sessions of a number of sports have been oversubscribed during the application window - which closed at 6pm on Monday - for tickets to next year’s events.
Sports including track cycling, swimming, wheelchair rugby and wheelchair tennis will all require ballots to allocate tickets for the Games.
Payment for Paralympic tickets will be taken by 31st October 2011, with a notification of whether applications have been successful to be sent by 18th November 2011.
There will be over 300 sessions across the 20 Paralympic sports including those within the Olympic Park, plus ExCeL, Greenwich Park, The Royal Artillery Barracks in Woolwich, North Greenwich Arena, The Mall and, outside London, Brands Hatch, Eton Dorney and Weymouth and Portland.
The Paralympic Games run from 29th August to 9th September next year.
