Two-time Olympic gold medallist Ed Moses has been appointed as an ambassador for London's bid to host the 2017 IAAF World Athletics Championships.
London is competing with Doha, Qatar for the right to host the event. Other ambassadors for the British capital include Lawrence Okoye, British all-time record holder in the discus, and Haile Gebrselassie, another two-time Olympic gold medallist.
Moses, who was world champion as well as a double gold medal winner, said: 'I first ran in London more than 30 years ago and every time I'm here I am always impressed by the fans. There is a great culture of the sport in this country and the spectators really respect athletics and the athletes.'
The IAAF council will select the host of the 2017 IAAF World Athletics Championships on 11th November.
