NBA strikes BBC online deal- 15 May 2008 06:50:00

The National Basketball Association has struck a media rights deal with the BBC to stream daily video highlights on the broadcaster’s website throughout the remainder of the 2008 NBA Playoffs and The Finals 2008.

The new agreement marks the first time fans in the UK will be able to access daily NBA video content directly on The BBC Sport website averages more than 10m weekly unique visitors and is the UK’s largest sports news website.

The NBA daily video highlights on will include game recaps along with capturing the best assists, dunks and buzzer beaters. Additionally, a weekly ‘Top 10’ segment will highlight the best plays of the week.  Fans will also be able to access special NBA historical video features of exciting NBA moments through the years.

The 2008 NBA Playoffs began on Saturday, 19th April, with 16 teams competing for a trip to The Finals and the chance to win the Larry O’Brien championship trophy.
