Five sponsors back British Basketball- 18 Sep 2008 00:00:00

British Basketball has signed up five new sponsorship partners following the promotion of the national teams to the elite European division.

adidas has signed up as the team’s official kit supplier, joined by Strathmore Water as official water supplier, Lucozade Sport as official nutritional products supplier, Molten as official ball supplier and Hire Intelligence as official technology equipment supplier.

All the new partners have signed for differing lengths of time, but they are all supporting the men’s and women’s team throughout their current campaign.

The key focus for adidas is their ‘basketball is a brotherhood theme’ which centres on making brotherhood the heart of the community while the partnership with Lucozade has a strong club promotional angle to benefit all players.

Following a very successful campaign for both the men’s and women’s British Basketball teams in 2007, both teams are now participating in Eurobasket Division A.

Fast Track the sports agency specialising in communications, events and rights marketing have been tasked by British Basketball to create a strong portfolio of commercial partners in the push for London 2012.

As well as the five they have already brought on board, the agency is also pitching to bring in a title sponsorship deal. Fast Track is looking for the title sponsor to be a brand which has the vision to grow with a sport and who would thrive in the ownership of a unique sporting property.
