Siemens extends GB Rowing tie-up- 21 Jan 2009 00:00:00

In the lead up to London 2012, GB Rowing has renewed its sponsorship deal with the electronics and engineering giant Siemens, on account of the team’s success at the Beijing Olympics.

Already receiving a larger chunk of public money than any other Olympic sport, the extended deal with Siemens will also end the governing body's partnership with lottery provider Camelot, which sponsored two of Team GB’s boats in Beijing, one of which won gold and the other silver.

Sponsoring the other boats since 2006, Siemens will now sponsor the entire rowing team, along with providing technical expertise.
