Tour of Britain unveils Honda tie-up- 2 Jul 2009 00:00:00

SweetSpot, organisers of The Tour of Britain have announced a partnership with Honda UK which sees the company become the official car partner for the professional cycle race, which is taking place from the 12th to 19th September, 2009.

The Tour of Britain organisational team will use Honda cars for routing, planning and marketing trips. In addition, the organisation will receive a fleet of around 40 more Honda Civics, CR-Vs and Insights which will be used to deliver Britain’s largest free to attend national cycle stage race.

The Tour of Britain attracts over 1 million spectators per year to towns, cities and communities across the length and breadth of the country.

The Tour of Britain 2009, which begins in Yorkshire on Saturday 12th September and finishes eight days later in the centre of London on Saturday 19th September, has also attracted a field of the world’s top riders to Britain this year.

The Honda deal adds to The Tour of Britain’s existing partnership portfolio which includes a tie-up with the Prostate Cancer Charity.
