UK Athletics and the organisers of the Aviva London Grand Prix organisers have launched an online campaign aimed at getting members of the public to mimic the dance celebrations of 100m world record holder Usain Bolt.
The ‘Bolt Dance’ campaign invites users to log on to www.loveathletics09.co.uk and submit their own dance videos with the winner getting the chance to replicate their video on the track with Bolt at the Aviva London Grand Prix at Crystal Palace on Friday 24th July straight after his 100m race.
Entrants will have until 16th July to make their films and upload them onto YouTube with the 10 dances with the most views shown to Usain Bolt, who will select the winner.
The campaign, being implemented by the governing body’s agency Fast Track, is one of a number of initiatives being launched by UK Athletics this summer as it looks to grow interest in the sport in the run-up to the London 2012 Olympics.
