Sky promotes new 3D sports channel- 9 Mar 2010 00:00:00

Sky is planning over 100 3D shopping centre demonstrations in the next 12 months in a bid to promote its 3D channel that is set to include live sport and movies.

Sky will be giving shoppers around the country 3D glasses to view footage from the Arsenal vs Manchester United match, which became the first ever 3D broadcast of a live sports event when it aired in January.

Other 3D footage that will be available includes tennis, golf, boxing, ballet, movies and live music.

Shoppers can also enter a competition to win 3D TV, Sky+HD box and subscription to Sky.

Sky 3D will be screened in pubs from April with a weekly 3D broadcast of live Premier League football.
