Old Speckled Hen signs Derbyshire deal- 6 May 2010 00:00:00
Premium ale Old Speckled Hen has signed a deal to become the official beer of Derbyshire County Cricket Club.
The agreement, which has been struck in time for the start of the 2010 County Championship season, will see Old Speckled Hen take up the pouring rights at the County Ground.
As part of the deal, Old Speckled Hen will receive significant branding around the County Ground in Derby including pitch-side boards and inclusion on match day materials.
The Ground is set to host over 40 days of cricket during the 2010 season including six FPt20 Cup matches and, in a repeat of the 2009 Women’s World Cup Final, a Women’s One Day International between England and New Zealand on 15th July.
The deal expands Old Speckled Hen’s presence in cricket after the ale signed a deal as the official beer of Sussex County Cricket Club for the next five seasons earlier this month.
