AVIVA TO PUSH RUGBY SPONSORSHIP WITH ADS- 3 Sep 2010 00:00:00
Aviva is set to push its recently acquired title sponsorship of Premiership Rugby with TV adverts showcasing the game’s unsung heroes.
AMV.BBDO has created a series of idents lasting 5, 10 and 15-seconds to be broadcast around Aviva Premiership Rugby coverage on ESPN, Sky Sports and ITV.
The adverts look to celebrate the roles of individuals behind-the-scenes of Premiership Rugby - such as the Harlequins head groundsman, Paul Sykes.
Every team from the Premiership will have a club worker representing them in the TV spots.
Insurance company Aviva agreed a £20m partnership with Premiership Rugby, replacing Guinness as its title sponsor in July.
The sponsorship also includes a package of benefits - including pitch, venue, shirt, ball and trophy branding as well as branding across all marketing/match day materials.
It also includes Aviva Man of the Match awards plus those for the Aviva Player of the Month and Aviva Player of the Season.
Aviva will also be title sponsor of the new Premiership TV channel which is launching this season enabling rugby fans to see highlights from every one of the 135 games during the season.
