NFL franchise the San Francisco 49ers have announced that season ticket holders for the 2020 season will be able to purchase in-stadium food and soft drinks for free as part of their membership.
The American football team claim they will become the first major sporting side to offer free concessions to those who have purchased a season ticket, with a member inclusive menu already announced.
As part of the initiative, the club says it is working with its hospitality partner Levy and technology and analytics company E15 Group to set the menu as well as the fan experience. 15 items including hot dogs, fries, soft drinks and coffees will be included in the yearly membership to see the team take to the field at the Levi’s Stadium during the 2020 season.
Al Guido, President, 49ers said: “The development of our member inclusive menu came from our desire to align thousands of pieces of fan feedback with operations, data, and analytics. Our fan surveys, and those reflecting the entirety of the NFL, show that the food service experience is a key driver of fan satisfaction. That insight helped lead us to this new model as a way to increase value for our members while providing them with the most seamless concessions experience in all of sports.”
