The English Institute of Sport (EIS) won the prestigious Cutting Edge Award in association with PT SportSuite at the Sport Industry Awards 2022 last night (12th May).
In a hotly contested award category, EIS’ work on Hormonix, an innovative and game-changing new technology that will provide real-time female hormone data, fended off entries from Extreme E, the ECB, Vodafone and WSC Sport to claim the top prize.
Created in collaboration with Mint Diagnostics, Hormonix offers athletes a detailed insight into their menstrual cycle, enabling more individualized, precise health and performance support.
Used by Manchester City Women, the technology has the potential to help not just elite athletes, but women of all abilities to better understand their hormones and how they can influence individual health.
During the judging day, panellists praised the EIS for truly breaking barriers in an often-over-looked topic, developing a new technology that could have an impact far beyond sport
