LifeBEAM Labs has launched a voice-activation AI personal trainer named Vi. Vi is built into biosensing earphones with sound powered by Harman Kardon and can adapt to behavior, environment and physiology to deliver tailored, real-time coaching.
Vi has a human voice and can converse with users and is triggered with voice commands such as, “Vi how am I doing?” and responds with current stats.
The AI trainers can track users’ heartrate, calories, speed, steps and distance. She also pulls in data from a variety of sources to provide personalised coaching and feedback based on progress and goals.
Vi can also connect with apps such as Google Fit, Apple HealthKit and Strava to understand behavior and health levels outside of training sessions with Vi.
To use Vi, download the Vi companion app that connects with the Vi earphones through Bluetooth and BLE connectivity. It is available for both iOS and Android devices.
LifeBEAM CEO Omry Yoffe said in a statement: “Vi is not like anything people will have heard or seen before.
