MOOV, a UK provider of sports and events graphics, has acquired 23 new ChyronHego PRIME graphics systems which will provide enhanced support for HDR and UHD/4K workflows and, in the first phase of its installation, will roll out the technology to support BT Sport as the new Premier League season continues.
MOOV’s work with BT Sport includes producing live 4K UHD graphics for broadcasts on BT’s UHD channel. In August, BT launched its BT Sport Ultimate channel to house 4K UHD broadcasts which include Premier League and UEFA Champions League games.
The technology will allow BT Sport to introduce its live graphic systems across all 4K UHD channels.
"In order to stay ahead of the game as we continue to serve a host of UK and international broadcasters, we also need to stay ahead of the technology curve with tools that can help us deliver highly complex graphics with a fast turnaround," said Laurie Beaumont, Head of Graphics, MOOV.
"We've enjoyed a close partnership with ChyronHego for well over a decade, so we knew PRIME would give us the flexibility, power, and ease of deployment we need to support our clients as they continue to expand their UHD and HDR workflows."
