Nike has unveiled a new football made from fully recycled materials as part of its Move To Zero campaign.

Although not available for sale (‘yet’, according to the sportswear giant), the product is a ‘proof-of-concept skills ball’ made from 100% recycled yarn trimmings that the brand says have been diverted from landfill. The ball’s outer shell is made from recycled airbag scraps which are left over from the production of its Air Max range.

Nike says the project is a ‘manifestation of [its] commitment to repurposing waste’ which already includes lines of running shorts, football kits and the Space Hippie shoe range.
