Niels de Vos

chief executive, UK Athletics

Niels has been chief executive of UK Athletics since May 2007 and sits on the BOA NOC committee. He is the championship director of the World Para Athletics Championships and IAAF World Championships London 2017, after successfully leading the bids for both in 2011 and 2012. He is also the creator of the Anniversary Games - an annual sell-out event at the Olympic Stadium.

He was previously CEO of Aviva Premiership Rugby team Sale Sharks, whom he guided to the Premiership Title in 2006, as well as commercial and marketing director of the hugely successful 2002 Manchester Commonwealth Games. 

Niels is married with three children and lives in Moseley, Birmingham.
