Garry Cook has an extensive track record of senior business leadership throughout his career.
He is currently the Executive Chairman of Gfinity PLC, a London based Esports solution provider and a board member of Wigan Athletic Football Club. He is the founder of i2 Global Consulting Ltd working with major global sports organizations developing strategy and brand value in the sports industry sector.
He joined Nike inc. in 1996, rising to President and General Manager of International Brand Jordan in 2005. During his tenure at Nike he held a wide range of management positions from leading the UK business, overseeing the licensing of Nike Team Sports in the US to leading the pan-European commercial strategy for Nike apparel EMEA.
After 12 successful years with Nike in Europe and USA, he became CEO of Manchester City Football Club in 2008. He led the organization during a period that saw ownership and management transition leading to numerous sporting achievements. The club won both the FA Cup and the Barclays Premier League, its first league championship for 44 years. He developed the global vision for infrastructure, brand growth and commercial development, which provided the foundation for the clubs continued success.
He joined Ultimate Fighting Championship in September 2012 as the Executive Vice President and Managing Director for Europe, Middle East and Africa. Leading the development of an overseas branding presence and event hosting strategy, resulting in unprecedented growth and paved the way for a truly global enterprise.
He was UFC Chief Global brand Officer as part of the senior leadership executive responsible for the largest single corporate takeover transaction in the history of sport by WME/IMG.
