Sport Industry NextGen in partnership with Barclays identifies tomorrow’s leaders, rewards their potential and nurtures their talent.

Sport Industry NextGen: A Celebration took place on Thursday 2nd February, bringing together the rising stars of the industry for a night of networking, education and inspirational talks amongst industry peers.

The evening session saw the 2017 Sport Industry NextGen Leaders introduced to the industry as a group for the first time. As well as hearing from the 2016 group, who recalled the lessons they learnt throughout the process, the audience also heard from a number of speakers who shared their leadership experiences including Watford FC captain Troy Deeney, Commonwealth Games Federation CEO David Grevemberg, ITV's political editor Robert Peston, and Sport England board member Kate Bosomworth

WHAT IS SPORT INDUSTRY NEXTGEN IN PARTNERSHIP WITH BARCLAYS?

DEVELOPMENT AFTERNOON

During an afternoon of networking, workshops and presentations, the Sport Industry NextGen Leaders went through a series of tasks designed to challenge their opinions and skills. The Development Afternoon was also be attended by the Sport Industry NextGen Coaches.

SPORT INDUSTRY NEXTGEN: A CELEBRATION

Following the development afternoon an evening of celebration took place at Village Underground on 2nd February 2017, bringing the sport industry together for inspirational and educational talks, to celebrate the Leaders and to network and socialise with some of the sector’s biggest names.

LEADERSHIP PACKAGE

The Sport Industry NextGen Leaders will receive a Leadership Package throughout 2017, providing them with bespoke training in leadership theory and practice and much more.

WHAT?

Sport Industry NextGen aims to discover the rising industry stars, who will receive a dedicated Leadership Package to better equip them for future leadership roles, including a business support package, regular professional networking opportunities and personal development and mentoring.

WHO?

The focus is on entrants aged 30 years or younger who work within the sport industry and aspire to grow their network, experience and knowledge for responsible leadership. You must enter on your own behalf and be currently based in the UK.
