Seven League has appointed former BT Sport Head of Social Media Iain Liddle as Senior Consultant.
Liddle, a Sport Industry NextGen Leader 2017, was previously responsible for the creation and delivery of a social media strategy season that drove impressive growth in advertising revenue for BT Sport.
He has also worked across sport, news and government at Twitter, and was involved with a partnership with Team GB which saw the platform work with athletes to build their strategies for reaching audiences during the Rio 2016 Olympics.
Liddle said: “I’m honoured to be joining the brilliant team at Seven League and can’t wait to get started. I’ve watched and admired from afar the work they have done with a range of clients over the years and believe I am joining one of the most impactful and innovative companies operating within all of sport.”
Seven League founder and chief executive Richard Ayers said: “I’ve known Iain since his days at Twitter and admired his work from afar. As digital transformation is really taking hold of the sport sector and our ability to grow and monetise audiences is proving valuable, we’re lucky enough to have been given a lot of work recently and 2020 is going to be a very busy year so it’s great to add another high calibre individual to our senior team. We’re excited to have him as a 7Leaguer.”
Prior to joining Twitter, Liddle oversaw the digital, news, and media at Charlton Athletic.
