adidas has opened ‘The X’ in Victoria Park, London, hosting free running and work out sessions for 10 days during February.
The pop-up designed specifically for women has been constructed from eight repurposed sea crates to create a giant X-shaped indoor space.
The calendar of activity will see adidas ambassadors including presenter AJ Odudu, healthy living specialist Faya Nilsson, yoga expert Cat Meffan, fitness blogger Zanna van Dijk and Youtube star and personal trainer Carly Rowena host free workout classes and events, alongside night-time running sessions on the park’s track held by London running collective Advent Running.
The park will also be open to the public after dark for the first time and illuminated by power generated from inside The X.
The X is inspired by the launch of new women’s adidas running shoe, the PureBOOST X and uses Pavegen technology to harness the energy of everyone who enters.
Using Pavegen, the energy from those in The X will then be used to light the one mile running track in the park.
The free sessions include daily running clubs with Advent Running, sunrise yoga sessions with Cat Meffan, boot camps with Zanna Van Dijk, HIIT workouts with AJ Odudu, a workout and nutrition class with Faya Nilsson, a training session meet up with Carly Rowena as well as evening supper clubs from culinary curators Jackson and Levine.
Ticket releases will be staggered, with more being made available throughout the 10 event day period.
