Ahead of Amazon Prime's first foray into live broadcasting the Premier League, the tech company has brought one of the competitions more iconic goals to the waters of the River Thames.
Named the greatest Premier League goal by an Amazon poll, Wayne Rooney's overhead kick from the Manchester Derby in February 2011 was recreated underneath Tower Bridge with two giant structures. Peter Crouch also took to the water after his dancing was voted Greatest Celebration, joining Love Island participants Ovie Soko, Jack Fincham and Laura Lou Crane in celebrating the launch.
Other winners across the activation included Alan Shearer voted Best English Player, Vinnie Jones voted Pantomime Villain and Delia Smith, whose 'let's be having you' rant was voted Funniest Premier League Moment.
The launch marks Prime Video's Premier League debut, which will see twenty fixtures broadcast throughout December. The first kick-off across the 3rd, 4th and 5th December and include the Merseyside derby as well as Jose Mourinho's return to Manchester United with Tottenham.
The 20 game package, picked up by Amazon in June 2018, is the first time the Premier League has been broadcast exclusively through a livestream within the UK.
