Bristol Flyers have teamed up with PT SportSuite to launch a new OTT platform, Flyers TV.
The pay-per-view platform will provide 'essential streaming services' for Flyers fans to watch the team's matches in the British Basketball League, while providing revenue for the Flyers in the form of match day passes. Fans can access a branded video OTT microsite via desktop, mobile and tablet devices and pay a small fee, on a game-by-game basis, to catch the match action, as well as replays and exclusive interviews.
“The launch of Flyers TV is a continuation of the excellent relationship we’ve enjoyed with Bristol Flyers thus far," said Rich Cheary, CEO, PT SportSuite.
“From the outset we’ve built this partnership around sustainability, scalability and support towards achieving Bristol Flyers’ strategic goals. This long-term planning is now coming to fruition, with Flyers TV integrating seamlessly into the centralised workflow strategy and efficiencies already in place.”
Joel Osborne, Bristol Flyers head of media and communications, added: “We’re really excited to have launched Flyers TV as the exclusive platform to watch every home game this season.
“This is the latest step in our growing relationship with PT SportSuite, which is allowing us to bring the live action to our fans this season from the comfort of their homes.
“The platform is a major first for British Basketball and we’re looking forward to working closely with the team on its further development.”
