British Rowing has launched a new collection of official sports clothing in partnership with Japanese sportswear company Mizuno.
The ‘Inspired By’ range has been designed and produced by Mizuno, which has been the official sportswear partner of British Rowing since March 2017.
The new range is inspired by the red, white and blue hoops of Great Britain’s World Championships kit, with the unique geometric design being featured across all of the new products.
Track tops, leggings, gilets, hoodies, polo shirts, t-shirts and rowing all-in-ones will be available through the new range, with clothing available in men’s and women’s fits.
Kenny Baillie, Director of Partnerships & Communications for British Rowing, said that the launch would broaden the governing body’s offering “to the rowing community and fans of the GB Rowing Team”.
Baillie added: “This range offers the perfect opportunity for supporters to show their colours and get behind the team as it enters an important summer of racing in the build-up to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games.”
The expansion of the organisation’s apparel offering also sees the opening of a new retail channel, which the governing body hopes will bring British Rowing merchandise to more people. The ‘Inspired By’ range will now be stocked by DW Sports alongside its existing Mizuno replica range.
Lee Pinnington, Group Marketing Director for DW Fitness First, said: “As part of our ongoing work with British Rowing we aspire to encourage more people to get involved in rowing as a fantastic sport to try both on the water and in the gym.”
The range is on sale now on DWSports.com and will also be available at selected British Rowing events this summer.
British Rowing is been shortlisted for the Sport Organisation of the Year in Association with AXA XL at tonight’s BT Sport Industry Awards at Battersea Evolution.
