BT Sport has launched a monthly pass offering to allow users to access the network on a no-contract basis.
Priced at £25 per month, the new offering positions BT Sport alongside fellow Premier League broadcasters Sky Sports and Amazon Prime Video - both of whom offer customers the chance to purchase no-contract monthly passes. Previously BT had only offered longer term subscriptions.
BT recently added access to Amazon Prime via its set top boxes, allowing customers to pay for the online retailer’s content on the same bill as their BT TV.
Pete Oliver, Managing Director Marketing, BT’s consumer division, said: “BT Sport Monthly Pass means that customers can sign up on a flexible monthly basis for the first time and make the most of all the fantastic live sport that we have to offer. And with BT Sport Ultimate included, we’re giving customers the very best possible viewing experience.
“Monthly Pass forms part of BT’s ambition to offer BT Sport customers’ unrivalled choice and the highest quality broadcasts on even more devices and platforms.”
The no-contract offering is available on BT’s digital platforms, as well as on connected devices such as Sony PlayStation and Microsoft Xbox consoles, Chromecast, Apple TV and connected smart TVs.
