Clifford French acquired by Endeavor

UK sports and entertainment consultancy Clifford French has announced its acquisition by Endeavor Global Marketing, a division of the US-based media holding formed of WME, IMG, UFC and their portfolio of brands.

Clifford French, whose client roster includes Electronic Arts, PUMA, NFL, Carlsberg, San Miguel and William Hill, will see its 20 London-based employees join the Endeavor Global Marketing team.

As part of the agreement, James Clifford and Dan French become senior vice presidents of Endeavor Global Marketing, reporting directly to the agency’s New York-based president Ed Horne.

Speaking at the launch, Clifford commented: “We’re delighted to be joining Endeavor Global Marketing.

“Its global standing, full-service marketing capabilities and unrivalled network spans the entire cultural marketing spectrum, so the opportunity, on a local and global level, is huge. It adds a whole new dimension for us and our clients.

“As we celebrate our milestone 10th birthday, we’re very excited about the next chapter of our story. It felt the like the perfect fit!”

Endeavor Global Marketing describes itself as a “cultural marketing agency.” Its 700 employees work across global brands including Anheuser Busch InBev, HSBC, Marriott, Microsoft, T-Mobile, USAA and Visa.

The agency sits at the heart of the Endeavor network that includes WME, IMG and mixed martial arts organisation UFC among its portfolio of companies. The new umbrella organisation was launched in October 2017.

Other recent acquisitions of Endeavor Global Marketing include full-service branding and marketing firm 160over90, experiential agencies IMG LIVE and Fusion Marketing and public relations firm Catalyst; as well as TSC, a leading Australian strategic partnerships and experiences company.
