Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish will discuss the Premier League club’s recent plans for its biggest ever stadium redevelopment at the first Sport Industry Breakfast Club of 2018, on Wednesday 28th February.

Taking place at the BT Centre, alongside sports broadcaster and moderator James Pearce, Parish will share his vision for the future of the club’s south London stadium - Selhurst Park - which is expected to cost between £75m-£100m (pictured below). The work will increase the capacity from 26,000 to more than 34,000 and substantially increase corporate revenue opportunities, overhauling a stadium that has been the club’s home since 1924.

Parish will offer his view on the current challenges and opportunities facing the game, including his unique perspective on competing against larger budgets from billionaire owners.

Parish began his career in business after acquiring advertising company, Tag Worldwide, in 1998 – turning the small London based company into a global advertising production company, working with the likes of Unilever, Intel, HP, Reebok and H&M. In 2010, while still owning Tag, Parish acquired the football club he supported from childhood, Crystal Palace FC.

Since the acquisition, Parish successfully led the club out of administration and back into the Premier League where the club has competed for five successive seasons.

Parish now divides his time between running the club, growing his property portfolio, investing in and advising companies, and mentoring young businessmen and women. As a serial entrepreneur and investor, Steve has made significant investments in multiple companies including Pure Gyms, Bird Restaurant chain, Seenit, Collider, TalentSpa Recruitment amongst others. He also runs an investment company GSSI investing in US listed stocks and off market financial business and property.

The Sport Industry Breakfast Club is the industry’s number one networking event series with four content-led networking breakfasts over the course of the year. Each event welcomes up to 200 guests from across the industry for an interview with a panel of leading figures from the world of sport and business.
