The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has entered into a new content partnership with media company Dugout.
The partnership will see bespoke video content involving both the Spanish men’s and women’s national teams, including behind the scenes content, available on Dugout’s platforms and across its publisher network.
The deal will also see Copa del Rey content appear on the channels, while the federation’s esports competitions, the eCopa RFEF and GamHer - featuring players from the Spain’s top women’s league - will also feature. The best action on and off the pitch from the Spanish 2B and lower divisions and Futsal will also be part of the package.
“We are delighted that we can give our worldwide audience access to bespoke video content from one of the most decorated and exciting national teams in the world,” said Elliot Richardson, Chairman, Dugout.
“The Spanish game has a broad appeal and we look forward to showcasing its diverse offering including content from the Copa del Rey, women’s football, Futsal and esports.
“RFEF’s content will now benefit from increased levels of engagement and exposure through our suite of engagement tools and on Dugout.com and the Dugout App which currently deliver 400 million views globally.”
Rafa Zapatero, Audiovisual Director at RFEF said: “In Spain, football is in our blood and we are thrilled to share our passion and love for the game with the rest of the world via Dugout. Dugout is the perfect partner for us as we look to engage even more global fans with RFEF’s competitions and matches – this collaboration will offer an intimate and never before seen view of our best men’s and women’s national team players.
“The Copa del Rey is a world-famous competition with a huge amount of interest in many international markets. Our deal with Dugout will also raise awareness about the exciting talent and potential in Futsal and our lower divisions plus our forward-thinking initiatives such as esports.”
