EA Sports have released the first of a three-part series entitled ‘Win As One’, exploring themes of community, family and friendship.

The first instalment of the series, with Manchester City and England star Phil Foden, explores the importance of community.

Shot in Foden’s hometown of Stockport, and developed and produced by Ten Toes Media, the film demonstrates the importance of his local community in supporting his rise through the footballing ranks.

In the film, Foden says his friends, family and members of the Stockport community now share in his success and that when he wins, they win. The messaging ties to FIFA 21’s ‘Win As One’ messaging, while the film is a continuation of the work EA SPORTS has done to hero the next generation of global superstars.

“Being part of the EA Sports family has offered me the opportunity to shine a light on my local community,” said Foden.

“Without the support of the people of Stockport, I wouldn’t be in the position I am today, so it’s a proud moment for me. It was amazing to work with EA Sports and Ten Toes Media to bring my childhood story to life.”

Alex Wilde, Athletes Relations Director, EA Sports, said: “Phil sets the world alight every time he steps on the pitch. It’s amazing to see the positive impact he has on his local community and it’s a story we are proud to tell with him. It was great to work alongside Ten Toes Media to bring this to life, especially with such a strong approach to the creative.”

Dean George, Creative Director, Ten Toes Media, added: “Stardom often leads players to leave behind the places and people that shaped them, but Phil’s different. The local hero still views himself as a humble member of the Stockport community, and embodies the ‘Win As One’ spirit that EA Sports has looked to champion in their FIFA 21 marketing.

“In this film, we have looked to hero the power of togetherness, showcasing the importance of home to Phil and what Phil means to the people of Stockport.”
