Eurosport has teamed up with digital out-of-home specialist and Team GB partner Ocean Outdoor to relive some of the best moments of London 2012 on the lights of Piccadilly Circus.
The event will take place at noon on Sunday 9th August, which would have marked the Closing Ceremony of the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020, now rescheduled for summer 2021.
Using Eurosport’s Olympic archive footage, the 10-minute showcase event will feature clips of Usain Bolt’s recording-breaking victory in the 100 metres as well as gold medal performances from Mo Farah, Jessica Ennis-Hill, Bradley Wiggins and Andy Murray.
The initiative between the pair is also presented in association with Landsec, the owners of the Piccadilly Lights.
“We are delighted to partner with Ocean Outdoor for this Olympic showcase,” said Simon Downing, Head of Factual and Sport Eurosport UK.
“It’s fantastic to relive some of the greatest moments in sporting history - which we all look back on fondly.
