The best and brightest of the sport industry will reunite in London this evening (12th May) for the 21st edition of the Sport Industry Awards, with sports presenter Laura Woods and TV personality Mark Durden-Smith returning as hosts.
Attendees on the night will join a sold-out audience consisting of 1,500 sport industry professionals and athletes under the Evolution London roof to celebrate and showcase outstanding work and achievements of the sector over the last year across 17 prestigious award categories.
The Sport Industry Awards 2022 sees the introduction of three new award categories. The Environmental Sustainability Award will recognise and reward organisations and initiatives that are delivering environmental benefits through sport, while the Original Standalone Content Award and Original Content Series Award will celebrate the best in high-quality, engaging, and creative productions across varying formats, lengths and platforms.
There will also be the industry recognition that comes with the two Judges Awards.
The Outstanding Contribution to Sport Award, recognises an individual, team or organisation whose actions have had a major impact on the sporting world, while the Integrity and Impact Award in association with InsightX recognises individuals or organisations across the globe that have demonstrated exemplary levels of ethics, integrity, and trust in sport to help set global standards for best practice in sport governance and business.
In 2021, the Integrity and Impact Award was given to Marcus Rashford, for the remarkable work he has done – both on and off the pitch – in fighting for those less fortunate, less represented, and less heard in our society.
For those confirmed as attending on the night, doors will open at 18:30 and the dress code is black tie.
The Sport Industry Group team look forward to welcoming you to the biggest night of the sport industry calendar!
