Premiership Rugby side Saracens has announced Two Circles’ Alex Gummer as the club’s new director of marketing.
Gummer, who will take up the role in November, will be tasked with planning and delivering marketing projects across the organisation, leveraging customer data and insight to grow Saracens’ fanbase globally and identifying opportunities to drive revenue and help grow the Saracens brand.
Gummer will move to Saracens from his role as Two Circles client services director.
His work with the agency has seen him deliver marketing, communications and digital change management projects for leading sports rights holders including Wimbledon, the LTA, the ECB, AFC Bournemouth and Liverpool FC.
Two Circles was recently appointed by Saracens to a data-driven marketing brief focused on driving fan engagement and attendance.
Commenting on Gummer’s recruitment, Tim Hunt, who oversees Saracens’ commercial operation, said: “To be able to bring someone of Alex’s calibre to Saracens is hugely exciting and goes a long way to ensuring we meet our objectives off the pitch and cement our position as London’s global rugby club.”
