Iain Liddle, formerly media partnerships for sport, news & government at Twitter UK, has joined BT Sport as head of social media.
Working in the wider BT Sport digital team, Iain will lead BT Sport's social team, running the accounts for Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and Snapchat.
BT Sport's digital content team are embedded within the wider TV production operation and produce short-form content for all social and digital platforms.
Iain began his new role with BT Sport on Monday.

Mike Norrish, executive producer, digital, BT Sport, said of the appointment: "I'm delighted to welcome Iain to the team at BT Sport. He's an outstanding social media talent with great experience working in the sports industry.

The news follows the announcement last week that Lewis Wiltshire - formerly Twitter UK’s senior director of media partnerships – will be joining digital sports consultancy Seven League.
