Club Wembley has unveiled a new members-only offering at Wembley Stadium.

Named after England’s strikers, past and present, Number Nine is set to open at the start of the 2019/20 football season. Situated in the Atrium Lounge on the north side of the stadium, it’s positioned centrally with seats adjacent to the Royal Box.

Inspired by some of London’s top food destinations, including Brick Lane, Billingsgate and Smithfield markets, members can enjoy food pre- and post-match. Accompanying the Best of British menu will be street vendors from around the world.

Architecture and design specialist KSS Design Group was responsible for the design of Number Nine.

Members of the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) have voted in favour of current Chairman, Colin Graves, remaining in post for an additional six-month period.

The special resolution, which was proposed last month by the ECB’s Non-Executive Directors, was approved by the ECB’s members at the body’s Annual General Meeting. The extension will run from May 2020 to November 2020 and will enable Graves to oversee the first season of The Hundred, a new limited overs competition that will be a major part of the new game-wide five-year strategic plan, Inspiring Generations.

The process for appointing a new Chairman will begin this September. At the AGM, the ECB’s membership also approved a resolution to extend Lord Patel’s term of office, as ECB’s Senior Independent Director, for an additional three-year period.
