Dame Heather Rabbatts has announced the launch of the Women's Sports Group, a new agency aimed at promoting and empowering women's sport.

In partnership with media rights consultant and co-founder of Reel Enterprises, David Kogan, Dame Rabbatts intends the Women's Sports Group to increase the profile and value of women's sport focussing on strategic communications counsel, media rights management and partnership or sponsorship development.

Rabbatts, Chair of strategic communications firm Vero Communications, said: “This is a pivotal moment in women’s sport. With rapidly rising participation, attendance and viewing audiences it’s a crucial time to elevate women’s sport to the next level and advance gender balance across the industry. We’re a unique offering, that’s bringing together industry experts with the passion, drive and expertise to raise the profile of, drive value in and ultimately empower women’s sport.”

Harlequins have appointed Threepipe to develop the campaign creative and media strategy for the Big Game 12 - the club’s home league fixture which is now-traditionally moved from The Stoop to Twickenham Stadium over the Christmas period.

Big Game 12 will take place on 28th December when the club will face Leicester Tigers at the 80,000 capacity stadium.

Threepipe will lead the creative campaign across print and digital channels, building around the taglines ‘Expect Fireworks’ and ‘London’s Biggest Rugby Party’, with the campaign and assets developed by Threepipe’s creative team, Earnie.

Stats Perform and risk consultancy Control Risks have announced a new global sports integrity partnership.

The partnership combine Stats Perform’s Integrity Unit platform with Control Risks’ global investigative practice to help rights holders, federations and governing bodies better spot potential corruption and match-fixing as well as supporting integrity, anti-doping and compliance programmes.

The NFL and OverTier have announced the expansion of their GamePass partnership, the league’s OTT subscription service.

OverTier, a joint venture between Bruin Sports Capital and WPP, has operated GamePass in Europe since 2017, and will expand that partnership to bring the service to more territories, reaching a total of 181 countries around the world.

Manchester City have signed a new global partnership with health and wellness brand Vejo, who will become the club’s Official Smart Blending Device Partner.

The brand, whose flagship product is a line of portable blenders which use ready-made pods to make smoothies on the go, will create a co-branded model as part of the partnership, and will work with the club’s nutritionists to develop new pods.
