Tottenham Hotspur has announced that its new stadium will not be ready to host matches until at least March 2019.

The club confirmed that its Premier League fixtures against Watford (30 Jan), Newcastle United (2 Feb) and Leicester City (10 Feb) will take place at Wembley Stadium. The national stadium will also host the north London side’s Champions League match with Borussia Dortmund (13 Feb).

In a club statement, Daniel Levy, Spurs Chairman, said: “I should like to apologise to our fans and thank you for your continued patience. The response from those who attended the familiarisation event was great to hear and reinforced our commitment to deliver an exceptional matchday experience for everyone.

“We shall now seek clarity in respect of building test schedules and test event dates and provide further information on these in the next two to three weeks.”

New "social betting" platform betconnect has partnered with Kelvin MacKenzie's Love Sport Radio, with 'Betconnect Week' set to run on Ian Stone’s Comedy Breakfast Show from Monday.

The online platform, which is set to launch on Friday 18th January, pitches itself as an online solution that will "level the playing field between bookmakers, professional gamblers and punters."

Professionals will be able to create and submit bets into the betconnect platform on all major sports and betting markets, using the real-time odds. The bets are then distributed to a network of punters who are prepared to match the bet in exchange for the tip received in the process.

Ascot Racecourse has teamed up with British menswear brand T.M. Lewin to launch a bespoke collection of men’s formalwear in a multi-year deal brokered by IMG.

The collection, inspired by Royal Ascot, its flagship race meeting, has been designed specifically for the summer racing season and will launch in spring 2019.

The range to be made available both in T.M. Lewin stores and online will feature three-piece and two-piece suits, jackets, trousers, shirts, ties and accessories. Select pieces will also be sold on-site in the IMG managed Ascot Shop store during the famous race event in 18-22 June.
