Telecommunications company ROKiT has made its latest move in the sports sponsorship market by agreeing multi-year endorsement deals with a host of leading tennis players, including Britain’s women’s No.1 Johanna Konta.
Along with Konta (pictured), ROKiT has announced partnerships with Frenchman, Gaël Monfils; three-time grand slam champion, Stan Wawrinka; American, Sam Querrey; and US star, Danielle Collins.
The ROKiT players will feature the brand logo on playing apparel at all tournaments, with the deal commencing with the ongoing French Open. The players are also scheduled to star in a mix of marketing activities and events for the ROKiT brand, which recently launched a range of affordable smart phones, featuring glasses-free 3D technology and exclusive 3D content.
To coincide with today’s announcement, ROKiT also revealed plans to create the world’s first tennis coaching content delivered in 3D and additional exclusive content to be made available via ROKiT devices, featuring behind the scenes access at tournaments and lifestyle content.
Off court, ROKiT has agreed a deal with US broadcaster the Tennis Channel. The deal includes title sponsorship of the Tennis Channel’s ‘ROKiT Shot of The Week’ segment, the Tennis Channel’s desk sponsorship at major tournaments, plus studio sponsorship at 10 tournaments throughout the 2019/20 tennis season.
The ROKiT logo will also be adorning the tennis nets of all matches played in the 2019 Invesco Series QQQ, premiering at the Hall of Fame Open in Newport, Rhode Island, as ROKiT becomes one of the tour’s official partners.
Jonathan Kendrick, Chairman of ROK Brands, said: “As a company, we never do anything by halves and our multifaceted commitment to tennis proves that. We have hand-picked these world class players for their unique speed, agility and flare on court and will be serving up some mind-blowing 3D content of them on our ROKiT glasses-free 3D phones.”
Konta, Monfils, Wawrinka, Querrey and Collins join a roster of high-profile sports sponsorships from the brand.
In February, ROKiT agreed a multi-year title sponsorship deal with Formula One motor-racing team Williams.
