The Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) has extended its affiliation with Moët & Chandon as its official champagne, covering the summer’s grass court events including the weekend’s Aegon Championships at The Queen’s Club in London, Aegon Open Nottingham, Aegon Classic Birmingham and Aegon International Eastbourne.
The partnership, which began in 2012, will see the winners of the grass court tournaments presented with a specially designed bottle of champagne.
The deal also compliments Moët & Chandon’s global partnership with the ATP, as the official champagne of the ATP World Tour and Barclays ATP World Tour Finals.
The weekend saw Andy Murray (pictured above) join the likes of John McEnroe and Boris Becker as a four-time Queen's Club champion with a straight sets victory over Kevin Anderson.
Commenting on the partnership renewal, Elsa Corbineau, marketing director at Moët & Chandon, said: “We are delighted to renew our partnership with the Lawn Tennis Association. Moët & Chandon’s heritage is rooted in the pursuit of success, quality, and shared celebratory moments. The Aegon grass court tournaments mark an important series of sporting achievements, and we raise a toast to our longstanding relationship with the LTA and to future moments of celebration.”
LTA commercial director James Mercer added: “We are delighted to announce the extension to our partnership with Moët & Chandon. They are a brand synonymous with celebration and success, and give a great taste of the summer of grass court tennis tournaments. We look forward to continued success in the partnership.”
