M&C SaatchiMerlin has announced the signing of Britain's most decorated Olympian, Sir Bradley Wiggins.
Wiggins joins a roster that already includes the likes of Freddie Flintoff, Jamie & Louise Redknapp and David Gandy.
The new partnership will see M&C SaatchiMerlin handle all commercial, broadcasting and management duties for Wiggins, who announced his retirement from cycling last month.
On joining M&C SaatchiMerlin, Bradley said: "I'm delighted to have joined the M&C SaatchiMerlin roster. Having now retired, the reach in to broadcasting and developing my own brand will be very important. With M&C SaatchiMerlin's global network and their outstanding record of creating broadcast careers; it gives me huge confidence in their ability to deliver for me"
Richard Thompson, chairman M&C SaatchiMerlin commented: "We are proud to be working with Bradley in the next phase of his career. Having conquered all before him while in the saddle, we hope to be able to develop Bradley's huge popularity across both the UK and Internationally.
"We believe there is great potential and appetite for brands & broadcasters to work with someone of Bradley’s appeal & fan base. With the scale of the M&C Saatchi global Network we feel very well positioned to maximize his potential.”
Team Wiggins, the joint venture between the cyclist and Simon Fuller’s XIX Entertainment, will continue to further support young riders to reach their potential in the upcoming season.
