Mongoose adds Dineen

Former Syco Entertainment Commercial Director Will Dineen is to join Mongoose Sports & Entertainment as Business Development Director.

Dineen, who has also held lead commercial roles at the ATP Tour and AEG, will join the agency’s senior leadership team, working across both the Communications and Commercial divisions.

The appointment comes as Mongoose seeks to build on a strong start to 2019, which has seen the agency shortlisted for the BT Sport Industry Awards Young Agency of the Year in association with Getty Images.

Its retained clients include The North Face, Silverstone, New Balance, The Boat Race and the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Chris O’Donoghue, CEO at Mongoose, said of the appointment: “We are delighted to have Will join the team. His experience having worked in the world of commercial entertainment at leading organisations and properties such as the X-Factor at Syco and the ATP Finals at the O2 will be invaluable to the agency as we look to continue our rapid growth. 

“He also brings brand campaign experience from the likes of Nike, Apple Music, Powerade and Fitbit, to name a few.”

Meanwhile, Discovery’s GOLFTV has announced the appointment of Jamie Kennedy as Director of Social Media and Digital Content for the new venture.

Kennedy joins from the European Tour, where he has overseen digital strategy for the past five years. He will take up his new role next month.
