Paddy Hobbs Joins The Romans

Ex-Pretty Green Head of Sport Paddy Hobbs has been appointed as Associate Director with creative PR agency The Romans.

Hobbs arrives from the entertainment, sports and lifestyle agency, where his work with Betsafe secured the Best Use of PR Award at the 2018 BT Sport Industry Awards.

The winning project saw Hobbs lead on the Notorious Airways campaign, which launched an airline with Conor McGregor to promote Betsafe and its association with the Irishman for the Floyd Mayweather fight.

Having also previously held the position of Associate at W Communications, Hobbs has led across a wide range of global brand campaigns, including Heineken, Maximuscle, Under Armour, Virgin Media, Three and Lynx.

Commenting on his new position, Hobbs, said: “Having greatly admired from afar the work The Romans make and the culture they’ve created, it’s really exciting to be finally taking up my new role. I’m looking forward to getting my teeth into some juicy campaigns.” 

Joe Mackay-Sinclair and Misha Dhanak, Founders of The Romans, added: “As we turn four years old, it’s great to be able to bring in senior talent like Paddy to be able help shape our growth and mentor our young recruits. Anyone who knows Paddy knows he’s one of the nicest guys in the game.”

Away from PR, Hobbs is the co-creator of Off The Canvas, a podcast featuring men from the world of boxing, discussing experiences of mental health.
