The newly formed Brawn GP F1 team has unveiled another sponsor partner in the form of Ray-Ban which is to continue its relationship with the former Honda-owned outfit.
Ray-Ban, the sunglasses and optical eyewear brand, entered F1 with the team in July 2004 and has decided to extend its sponsorship for a sixth successive season.
The distinctive Ray-Ban logo will appear on the helmet visors of Brawn GP's race drivers Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello and the Brawn GP team members will wear Ray-Ban sunglasses from the brand's 2009 range.
Ray-Ban joins Virgin Group and MIG Investments in partnering with the Brawn GP team which has got off to flying start to the 2009 season with Button leading the drivers’ championship after three races.
Following Honda’s decision to withdraw its investment in F1, technical director Ross Brawn led a management buy-out of the team’ assets which subsequently was rebranded under the Brawn GP name.
