British Canoeing has announced that Direct Business Solutions (DBS) has become an official partner to the organisation. As part of the announcement, DBS will also become a principal partner for the upcoming 2022 ICF Canoe Freestyle World Championships in Nottingham this summer.

Direct Business Solutions will be work with delivery partners and stakeholders to provide sustainable energy solutions to reduce consumption and cost. It will also prominently feature on all competition bibs and branding across the 2022 ICF Canoe Freestyle World Championships.

LIV Golf, the new Saudi-backed breakaway golf tour, has announced the appointments of two leading sport industry executives to key positions within the organisation. 

Matt Goodman, an executive with almost 20 years of experience in the sports sector, joins as President of Franchises, while Laurence Miller, formerly of Manchester United, has been appointed as Vice President, Head of Franchise Operations. 

Top 12 Group has partnered with ATP and IMG to launch an exciting new series of tennis events as part of the ATP Champions Tour. The Legends Team Cup – ATP Champions Tour will pit two teams of tennis legends against each other across three action-packed, competitive three-day tournaments, with the first event set to take place in Pula, Croatia from 1-4 August.

Eight-time Grand Slam winner Ivan Lendl and Wimbledon Champion Pat Cash have been appointed as captains of the two seven-player teams that will face off at the three tournaments hosted in exclusive destinations across the world. Alongside the non-playing captains, the first players to be announced for the series are two-time doubles Grand Slam champion Radek Štěpanek, former World No. 2 Tommy Haas, and Wimbledon finalist Tomáš Berdych.

London Marathon Events, organisers of London-based festival of cycling RideLondon, has announced that car manufacturer Ford has signed up as presenting partner. The event takes place this year on 27th – 29th May 2022.

Ford will be the sponsor of the Ford Queen of the Mountains competition for the top women pro riders in the UCI Women’s WorldTour three-day stage race, the RideLondon Classique. As part of the sponsorship, the Race Director will drive a Ford Kuga PHEV for the race convoy, and Ford Mustang Mach-E will be the Official Electric Vehicle as part of the London 2022 RideLondon Classique support fleet.

LaLiga has joined forces with Bloomsbury Football to support the London-based grassroots charity, which uses the power of football to change the game for young people. In a multi-year agreement, LaLiga will assist the pioneering community work being done by Bloomsbury Football, whose grassroots football initiatives reach over 5,000 young people per week, starting with the sponsorship of Bloomsbury’s youth league in central London from this summer, to be newly renamed as LaLiga x Bloomsbury Football League.

talkSPORT has entered a new partnership with Cricket Ireland to broadcast Ireland's 2022 home fixtures against India, New Zealand and South Africa across the UK and the Republic of Ireland across radio. The new partnership with Cricket Ireland will include live coverage of Ireland’s T20s and ODIs starting with the first T20 between Ireland and India on June 26th.

talkSPORT recently expanded its international cricket coverage to broadcast India’s international fixtures, including series involving New Zealand, West Indies & South Africa. Commentators lined up for the fixtures include former Ireland bowler Tim Murtagh and two-times Ashes winner Steve Harmison, broadcasters Neil Manthorp, Jarrod Kimber, Andrew McKenna and talkSPORT’s Cricket Editor Jon Norman. The rest of the team will be confirmed soon and will be supported by scorer Garry Morgan.
