Southampton Football Club has announced that sports fashion retailer JD has become its new official sleeve partner for the 2022/23 season.

The one-year agreement will see JD branding appear on the sleeves of the men’s first team, B-Team, Under 18s and all academy teams.

Sarah Batters, Southampton Football Club Partnerships and Marketing Director, commented, “JD is one of the world’s leading retail brands, with exciting aspirations. As a leader in youth fashion, their values align perfectly with our vision of developing young talent and turning potential into excellence.”

The news comes days after JD renewed its sponsorship agreement with another Premier League club, Crystal Palace.


Premier League football club Wolverhampton Wanderers has secured a record sponsorship deal with online trading platform Trade Nation, who become the club’s official FX trading partner ahead of the 2022/23 campaign.

The agreement will also extend to Wolves Women and Wolves’ European esports teams and take the opportunity to work with the Wolves Foundation, supporting fundraising efforts throughout the season.

West Ham United has announced an enhanced partnership with sport supplements brand Soccer Supplement as its official supplements and isotonic sports drinks supplier.

As part of the relationship, Soccer Supplement will broaden its involvement across the East London club, adding pitch side nutrition as well as supporting West Ham United women’s team and academy. Soccer Supplement first became an official club partner in 2019.

West Ham United’s Chief Commercial Officer, Nathan Thompson, said, "We are delighted to enhance our relationship with Soccer Supplement and to now have the opportunity to develop products to specifically meet the needs of our players.

"We were also very impressed with their desire to support the entire Club from the First Team to the Academy and West Ham United Women.”


BT Sport is launching a new line-up of podcasts available for free across popular podcast platforms, entitled BT Sport Pods that will provide sporting insight, interviews and reaction.

BT Sport Pods will be hosted by a wide range of BT Sport stars, including Joe Cole, Jake Humphrey, James Richardson, Craig Doyle, Darrell Currie and Mike Calvin, and will be available weekly for viewers to listen to for free. The pods will also feature guest appearances from players and coaches involved with football and rugby, including Jordan Henderson, Patrick Kluivert, Emma Hayes, Owen Farrell and Rob Baxter.

London-based radio station talkSPORT, owned by Wireless Group, has secured the exclusive audio rights to the Anthony Joshua vs Oleksandr Usyk rematch in Saudi Arabia on Saturday 20th August.

talkSPORT will be the only UK broadcaster to offer the rematch to boxing fans for free.

The DP World Tour and PGA Tour has confirmed that The Scottish Open will be hosted at the Renaissance Club until 2026. The course is located in North Berwick, twenty miles east of Edinburgh and has staged the event for the past four tournaments with American Xander Schauffele winning the 2022 edition.
