Racing is Everyone’s Sport is once again partnering with Stonewall’s Rainbow Laces for a second year to show support for the LGBT+ community in racing.

Launched by Great British Racing last year with support from the sport’s Racing with Pride network, Racing Is Everyone’s Sport aims to encourage and welcome LGBT+ participation in the sport of horseracing, bringing the racing community together to champion inclusion for lesbian, gay, bi and trans people.

On Saturday 4th December, Racing is Everyone’s Sport will encourage and welcome LGBT+ participation in the sport through a series of activities at racecourses across the UK that day – Sandown Park,  Wolverhampton, Aintree, Chepstow, and Wetherby.

Jockeys at the four meetings will be encouraged to wear rainbow armbands and rainbow pin badges will be given out freely to racecourse staff and spectators to show their support and spark conversation.

Former World Rugby and Formula 1 exec Murray Barnett has been appointed by the Football Association of Ireland (FAI) on a consultancy basis. Murray, a sports marketing expert with more than 20 years’ experience working for some of the biggest names in sport, will review and support all marketing and communications activity as the Association separately begins the recruitment process for a new Marketing and Communications Director role and for a Commercial Director.

The ZR 01 will initially be available online in Europe and the US on 24th November, with planned pop-ups in Los Angeles, Brooklyn, Berlin and more.

McLaren Racing has completed the agreement to acquire the majority shareholding in the Arrow McLaren SP IndyCar team by the end of the year. The team will be governed by a five-person board, comprising three McLaren Racing appointees, Sam Schmidt and Ric Peterson and will be chaired by McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown. Taylor Kiel, President of Arrow McLaren SP, will be accountable to Brown and the board for the overall operations and performance of the team.

Formula E and the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) have launched the Gen3 racing car, a third-generation all-electric racing car that will race in Season 9 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.

Described by FIA President Jean Todt as: “a machine created at the intersection of high performance, efficiency and sustainability”, the Gen3 will be net-zero carbon, with at least 40% of the energy used within a race being produced by regenerative braking during the race, setting the benchmark for sustainability in high performance racing cars.
