England are on the verge of being named hosts of the 2025 Women’s Rugby World Cup.

England, who announced their plans to launch a bid last month, has been named as a "preferred candidate" by World Rugby and should it become official, it would mark the second time England will host the tournament since 2010.

In the 2025 tournament, there will be more opportunities for teams to compete for the prestigious trophy, as the number of teams will increase from 12 to 16.

Global Sports and Entertainment Consultancy Right Formula, who last month announced a new advisory board, has won a multi-agency pitch to support Vodafone’s partnership with Gallagher Premiership Rugby team Wasps Rugby, Wasps Women and Netball, for the 2021/22 season.

Right Formula will help Vodafone harness the power of data, digital content, and human experience across various different platforms, aimed at the business community that reflects Vodafone and Wasps’ shared commitment to promote the role that technology can play in sports and business.

In 2019, Vodafone unveiled its Vodafone Business Lounge at the then Ricoh Arena, an innovation space designed for businesses to experience the latest emerging technologies including 5G, the Internet of Things (IoT) and high-speed fibre. In 2020, Wasps installed a Vodafone Heat Detection camera at its training ground to help safeguard staff and players as they returned to training following the outbreak of COVID-19.

ATP Champions Tour tennis event has announced a new partnership with Official Penguin. 

As the Official Clothing Partner of the ATP Champions Tennis event, Original Penguin, will be responsible for dressing all event staff including officials, linesmen, physios, along with ball boys and girls in its iconic white cotton polo. This will be supplemented by the brand’s Stickie Pete Pique Polo, the Sticker Pete Daddy Polo and layering garments including its Fleece Crew Neck. Alongside this, the brand will be visible through further courtside placement opportunities. 

Original Penguin is the current apparel partner of Australian golfer, Cameron Smith. Smith is currently placed within the top 25 players in the world, following a third PGA tour win in April. The new range will include nods to the brand’s retro heritage, with bespoke print designs and a Tennis Essentials line. Released in early 2022, the range will have both male and female garments.

European Professional Club Rugby (EPCR) has announced that DHL Express, has become the latest addition to its commercial portfolio as an official partner of the Heineken Champions Cup and EPCR Challenge Cup.

The agreement will see DHL provide customised logistics solutions for both tournaments while enhancing EPCR’s current suite of commercial partners which includes Heineken, Tissot, the Financial Times, Gilbert and Kappa.  

As a long-standing global sponsor of rugby related partnerships to include the Harlequins, Munster Rugby, DHL Stormers, British and Irish Lions, World Rugby Sevens Series and Rugby World Cups, DHL are well positioned and perfectly-placed to support the further development of both the Heineken Champions Cup and Challenge Cup as EPCR looks to extend its reach into new markets.
