Soapbox London appoint new Head of Press

Soapbox London has announced a key new hire as Adam Cotton, former Media Lead at Comic Relief and Sports Relief, joins the agency as the new Head of Press.

After three years of running prominent press campaigns for Comic Relief and Sports Relief, Cotton joins Soapbox London’s growing PR department which has also recently welcomed former Sky Sports and Pagefield Executive Will Nelson back to the company as a Senior Account Director.

Cotton's remit will be to lead the PR department in its expansion, devising strategy and managing campaigns for the agency’s roster of athlete and brand clients and reporting into both managing partners, Andy Bell and Rowan Wilkinson.

Set up by publicists Rowan Wilkinson and Andy Bell in 2015, Soapbox London is an award-winning communications agency specialising in PR, social media and content production for athletes and brands activating partnerships in sport.

From recently being appointed Official PR Agency of the 2022 Sport Industry Awards, it’s been a strong year for the business with a series of big client wins as well as recently launching a new content production arm, SBX Studios, which in its first 12 months has signed content deals with Facebook and Instagram, Snapchat and Channel 4 as well as producing content for top tier brands including Hugo Boss, Lucozade, Under Armour and DAZN.
