The Space Between, winner of Young Agency of the Year in the Sport Industry Awards 2022, has announced that it will pledge 5% of its profits to charities and causes that harness the potential of sport to create lasting social impact.

The announcement of the first donation coincides with Refugee Week 2022 (20th to 26th June) and will go to the Sport Together Fund, delivered by Beyond Sport in partnership with UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency.

The Sport Together Fund, launched at the Sport Industry Awards 2022, was created to support sport-based development organisations around the world that are providing vital aid to their communities in the face of conflict, harm and insecurity.

This is the first in a series of pledges that The Space Between will make to charities throughout the year and an ongoing commitment to donating 5% of profits to charities in subsequent years. The donation forms part of the agency’s wider commitment to giving back to the sport industry and will be accompanied by a range of other internal and external initiatives.

Co-founders, Adam Raincock, Tom Gladstone and Lisa Parfitt said, “Sport, both professionally and personally, has given us so much and when we founded the agency we were clear that giving back to the industry was high on our list of priorities. Sport binds people together and we feel passionately about our responsibility to harness sport’s potential for positive change so giving back to charities that make a difference in our space seemed like the logical first step. Our commitment will continue, but we see this as the start of our journey to support the industry and the charities that leverage sport to change lives.”

The Space Between was launched in 2020 and has gone from a start up agency to a significant player in the sports marketing space in its first full year, winning 15 new clients and delivering work for brands and governing bodies including The FA, The Hundred, Grolsch and Vitality.
